Choosing between your friends and your lover

A lot of relationship have reached this dilemma. Lover means a guy or girl’s girlfriend or boyfriend.

Dilemma #1 : When you hang out too much with your friends, your lover gets jealous and demands more time from you. Or when you don't hang out much with your friends, your friends may think that your lover is taking you away from them.

Dilemma #2 : If your friend is of the opposite sex, your lover becomes extremely jealous and may become paranoid that your friend is trying to take you away from him or her.

Dilemma #3 : There may come a time when your love will pop out the question "So, who will it be? It’s either me or them!"

You should never have to choose between your friends and your lover. You shouldn't have to. But there may come a time when you do. When you are in a relationship with someone, some of your social circles become different. The dynamics of your friendships may also change.

Some choose friends over lover because of the years they spent together and the challenges they’ve gone through side by side. And some choose lover over friends, because of their commitment and of course to avoid conflict. Although guys don't choose their friends over their girlfriend all of the time, there are particular circumstances when they may choose to do so. These circumstances relate to both the age of the guy and the age of the relationship. When guys are very young and are in the experimental stage of dating, they are likely to see their relationship with girlfriend as transient or temporary, while their friendships are viewed as being long-term. When this is the case guys are far more likely to pick their friends over their girlfriend.

If the relationship becomes more serious, then a guy is more likely to either give his girlfriend equal consideration to his friends, or even to choose her above his friends at times, in order to keep the relationship going. Guys soon become aware, in a serious relationship, most women don't want to be second best.

Sometimes, you will be confronted with a situation where some of your friends disapprove of or dislike your lover. On the other side, your lover also dislike some of your friends. When such differences in taste and opinion occur, you can be sure that changes will follow. In this case, you have to be a mediator between your friends and your lover. Otherwise, you may be forced to decide whether to keep your lover, or a friend. If you don’t make the choice there is going to be constant conflict in the air and a stressful atmosphere for you and the other folks involved. This may seem like an almost impossible decision to make. After all, perhaps your friendship has been a long and true one, and your lover feels to be 'the one' to you with whom you wish to spend the rest of your life.

We all know that love relationships come and go, and so does friendship. But what if no matter how hard you try and fight for both, you still had to choose one?

All guys need friends and it isn't healthy for them to rely on their girlfriend all the time. A wise man learns that both girlfriend and other friends are all important in his life, and attempts to keep his social and private life balanced without upsetting anyone else. If you can see no other way than to make a choice then you need to assess which, out of the two relationships, mean the most to you. You need to ask yourself which of the two people you can really picture yourself enjoying being with long into the future, rather than just in the present time. Although it’s tough, but an answer will come to you.

The best way for any guy to behave is with honesty and respect for all of his relationships, whether friends, family, associates or girlfriend. This way, he will never have to feel as if he is choosing one person over another.

My Graduation Notes

16 July 2011, today, I finally graduated from Bina Nusantara University. 3,5 years, a very short time yet so many memories inside. Tears stung on my eyes as I realized that today I am gonna graduate. I will no longer be an undergraduate student who is rushing to catch the class. No more assignments from lecturer. No more exams. But I will really miss the noisy of the class, the excitement when lecturer was unable to attend the class. I recall every moment I walk around the campus building and up and down the halls of classroom, I realized that I really miss those moments. I never thought I would miss that building.

Somehow, everything that I complained about these past four years (the lecturers, the classrooms, etc) seems like nothing more than a nostalgia memory. The 4 years (3,5 years exactly) I spent at Bina Nusantara University was really amazing. I will never forget my time here at this university and the memories I have surrounding this campus.

I filled this graduation day with multi emotions. Happy yet sad. Excited yet nervous. As this day may be the last day we gather with our friends and lecturers (although there will be a reunion party some day). The feeling seeps in and I really wish today never ends. Another happy effect of graduation day is because of our lecturers, who keep smiling at us unlike their routine days. Smiles spread on every face, they tell us so lovingly that they had a great time even though it's not completely true :p hahaha.. And then we realize that they are so flexible and lovable. This beautiful day comes to an end with hugs and promises to keep in touch. Wishes for a good life and luck flies in every corner. Well, I dislike farewell.

For my alma mater, Bina Nusantara University and the lecturers :
Nothing I can say except thank you. Thank you for the education. I am very thankful for your support during the important academic years of my life. I am also thank you for inspiring and guiding me in times of difficulties. I am proud to be a Binusian.

For all of my friends :
Congratulation! We are graduating and we know our lives will be different. We are going out into the world, with our goals and dreams to pursue. But one thing will never ever change. As we go on our separate ways, the friends we’ve made in school will be our friends forever. The special ties we’ve made, these bonds will never be broken. This friendship means a lot to me and it will never end. This is the time for us to spread our wings, we’ll do great things. We’ll overcome whatever life hands us. Use what we’ve learned from Bina Nusantara University for our success. We’ll bloom wherever our journey lands us. I would like to thank all of you for your help during my study here and I’m sorry for all the mistakes I’ve ever done. I wish the very best future for all of us. I love all of you, I really do :-) Everything was a blessing for me and I will never forget you guys. I hope to see you guys soon.

I wanna share some of the photos taken that day :

Me in pink kebaya

Me and my boyfriend. We finally graduated, dear. It’s time to work hard for our future ♥

Mom, me, younger brother and younger sister. Thank you mommy for your support both material and non-material. For my younger brother, it’s your turn to study hard and get the summa cum laude (you said you want it, right? :p)

Wieny, Me and Vina. Hey, we finally made it. I will not forget the day we had to get up very early, took the train and went to omni hospital alam sutera for our internship and got so many stresses back home. When I think of it now, somehow I miss those days. It was how we struggled in order to finish our thesis. Haha..

Tie, Wieny, Emil, Me and Vina. When can we gather again, all, five of us? I miss you guys, a lot.

Landed at Sorowako

I landed at Sorowako on Monday, June 15th, 2011. I am so sorry, I didn’t get any photo during the flight from Makassar to Sorowako.. I am too dizzy to take photo -_-a However, it took about one and half hour flight and the plane was Fokker 50, small plane but inside the plane is comfortable :)

The first thing I said when arrived at Sorowako is “WOW! The air is so fresh!” Yup, the air here is really fresh, totally unlike Jakarta. The nature here is great, it has many trees and no pollution. Maybe there’s pollution around the mining area, but I have not visit the mining area yet. I will share to you once I got there :D

This is the Fokker 50
It’s so green!

As I mentioned in my last post, this is a business trip, so the accommodation will be provided by the company. I am here for PT.INCO’s project. Then we headed to the guest house. They called it guest house, but I think this is more like a small villa. It’s very comfortable, more than enough. One house has 3 bedrooms, 1 toilet, 1 kitchen and 1 living room.

This is the house. I wish I can live here forever, I love the nature here. Eventhough there are no entertainment like in Jakarta. No mall, all we can do is sport. I think this is good for our health. I might consider to move to a place like this after retired.

This is the bedroom. The bed is king size, it’s very comfortable.
Everyday there will be room boy to clean up the room.

Every bedroom has a 29 inch television. They have cableTV (indovision),
so there are many TV Channels to watch.

The bathroom is large and they provide hot water for the shower ;)

The dining table. There is microwave on the table.

The kitchen. There is a refrigerator there.

The living room

Terrace

For the laundry, everyday the room service will pick up the laundry. And they done the laundry very quick and it’s clean. This morning my laundry was picked up, and when I went home from the office in the night, my laundry is done. Quick, isn’t it? :)

Anyway, I will enjoy my stay here, be friend with the nature. Enjoy the fresh air which I can’t have in Jakarta :) But I do miss my friends and my boyfriend. I wish all of you are here, it would be great!

Sunrise in the Flight to Makassar

This morning me and my friends departed to Makassar. It took 2 hours to fly from Soekarno Hatta International Airport Jakarta to Sultan Hasanuddin International Airport Makassar.

The plane took off at about 6 o’clock in the morning. I never had morning flight before. Half hour after it took off, I was surprised when I looked outside of the window. I saw the sunrise in the flight. The sunrise is so beautiful.. I saw it from the window of the plane :D I took some pictures of it and I hope you like it : )

Don’t you think it’s beautiful? :D
And then I enjoyed my breakfast while watching the sunrise with my friend.

Omelette

Fried Rice

My friend fell asleep after having the breakfast. I was very sleepy, but I can’t sleep T_T . So I read the magazine, playing the games, listening to the music till the plane landed at Makassar.

And here we are, Makassar :D

It's Penang Again!

Firstly, I would like to apologize because of the status quo of my blog .. I've been very busy lately T_T ..

Well, do you remember Penang Restaurant that I mentioned before in my last post? Just now, I visited Penang Restaurant again, since I like their food very much! :) If you want to know what is on Penang Restaurant's menu, you can refer to my last post, on Affordable and Yummy ! Penang Restaurant ! :D

You don't have to worry about the price here, because I think it's very affordable!
It's up to 30.000 IDR :) So what we (me and my boyfriend, again :p) ordered this time?

Kwe Teow Goreng Penang (Penang Fried Kwe Teow) 21.800 IDR
The kwe teow is the same with penang fried noodles that I ordered last time. It has fish balls, prawn, meat and other seasonings inside. The kwe teow is delicious. I ever tried kwe teow at few restaurants in Jakarta and I like Penang's kwe teow the most. I don't know, their kwe teow just taste like my hometown's :p *fyi, my hometown is Batam*

Nasi Hainam Ayam Panggang (Hainam Rice with Roast Chicken) 21.800 IDR
The rice smells good! I love it. This will be my second favorite menu at Penang Restaurant. My first favorite is Nasi Lemak Sambal Sotong :p

Fish Ball Soup (5 pcs) 19.800 IDR
The fish ball is fresh. When you put it in your mouth, it's very soft. And once again, the soup taste like Sop Ikan Batam's soup :p Sop Ikan at Batam, I mean. Not the Sop Ikan Batam restaurant located at Jakarta. It's really different! *I think the Sop Ikan Batam located at Jakarta not as delicious as Batam's*

Bubur Cha-Cha 8.800 IDR
And our dessert of course the yummy Bubur Cha-Cha! :9 sluurp!

So, we paid 94.380 IDR (with 10% of tax) for 1 kwe teow goreng penang, 1 nasi hainam ayam panggang, 1 fish ball soup, 1 teh openg (sweet ice tea) and 2 bowls of bubur chacha. Affordable, isn't it? :)

I will definitely visit Penang Restaurant again to try their other menu. I really suggest Penang Restaurant to you, especially if you came from Batam (same with me), Malaysia, Singapore, Tanjungpinang, Riau and the surrounding areas, and you are living at Jakarta now. The taste is very similar with our hometown's :)

Please refer to my last post to find where is Penang Restaurant located.

And dear readers, I would like to tell you that tomorrow I will depart to Sorowako (Sulawesi) for business trip, so maybe my blog will have a status quo (no update) within a period :( But if I can get internet connection there, I will keep updating my blog! I promise! :) Wish me luck!

Medical Check Up at Siloam Hospital

Yesterday (4 June 2011) me and my friend had medical check up at Siloam Hospital Kebon Jeruk. I was so afraid.. The most scary thing about hospital is the needle! T_T The medical package include : chest x-ray, EKG, ureum, creatinin, uric acid, urine-routine, hematology complete, SGOT, SGPT, Cholesterol, HDL cholesterol, LDL Cholesterol, Tryglicerides, HBsAg, Anti HBs, Glucose, eye, ENT (Ear, Nose, Throat), Dental, etc. *sorry, I can't remember them all*.. We have to fast (plain water is allowed) for 10 hours before the check up.

We arrived at the hospital at 8.00 o'clock in the morning. First, we were asked to fill in the registration form.

Then we wait at the medical check up waiting room. The waiting room is quite comfortable.

We were given two containers. The one with white lid is for urine, the other one with brown lid is for faeces.

Then the nurse took our blood sample. At first, I was scared and nervous, my body turned cold -_-a *the effect of nervous, I think* Since I was small, I am very afraid of injection. I never like it. The nurse said "hey, don't be nervous, just relax, it won't hurt".. Everybody told me that it won't hurt and I know it. But I am still afraid of it..

Well, I tried to relax, took a deep breath and I manage to go through it. fiuh... The nurse took 4 small tubes of blood, each tube has about 1cm diameter. The most scary part is over. The rest of this medical check is easy! :p

Then we had the chest x-ray. We have to change our clothes with the one provided by the hospital.

After that, at about 9.30 o'clock, we had our breakfast *provided by siloam hospital*. What I like the most from this whole medical check session is the food! yummy! It's not like hospital food at all *hospital food usually low fat, less oil, low sugar, etc*.. For breakfast, there are fried rice, chicken porridge, bread *I can only remember 3 of them* .. you may choose tea, coffee, milk or juice for the drinks. We have to fast again for 2 hours after the breakfast.

Bread, cheese, butter, meses and chocolate milk for my breakfast

After having our breakfast, we went around the hospital to have eye check, ENT (Ear Nose Throat) check, Dental check, EKG and treadmill *sorry, I can't get any photo of these sessions*

At treadmill and EKG session, the EKG tool is tied up in our body, so you can see your heart beat at the computer screen while doing the treadmill :) The treadmill is then started at a relatively slow "warm-up" speed. The treadmill speed and it's slope are increased every three minutes. Each three minute interval is known as a Stage (Stage 1, Stage 2 and Stage 3). Thus I completed these exercised for 3 x 3 = 9 minutes. The nurse record my blood pressure during the second minute of each Stage. *the socks and sport shoes for treadmill is provided by siloam hospital*

Well, we completed all of the medical check at about 11.30 o'clock.. We wait for 10 minutes (fasting for 2 hours after breakfast) and then the nurse took our blood sample again. But this time, it's only a little bit of blood from the fingertip.

And then we had our lunch! You can choose between 3 options for the lunch menu *provided by siloam hospital*.. It's Chinese, Indonesian or european food. I chose european food and my friend chose chinese food. Both of them are delicious! :)

European food

Chinese food

Pricing

I asked the nurse, how much this package costs? She said it is about 1,4 millions *because this medical check was provided by the company, so I don't have to pay*..

They have various pricing for the medical check, depends on which package you choose. The price range is from 350.000 IDR up to 6.500.000 IDR.

visit Siloam Hospital for details.

Siloam Hospital's Services

Overall their services are great! The nurses are friendly. The facilities they provide are also great. But the medical process is a bit inconvenient, because we have to run all over the hospital to do the inspection. It would be better if they can locate all of the medical inspection in one place (one big room with many chambers, maybe).

Friend, I miss u

Dedicated to my friend
"one for all, all for one!"

I miss the time..
when we share our stories..
I miss those moments..
when we tell each other..
I miss those moments..
when we laugh together..
have fun together..
and even cry together..

When there are people who make fun of me, you defend me..
When there are people who hurt me, you protect me..
When you're worried about me when I was sick..
When I didn't show up at school even if it was only a day..

When we are together down the street somewhere..
When we are having lunch together..
When we are joking about something..
When we are helping each other to deal with problems..
I miss the world we've ever built..

Here..
My loneliness reminds me at a memory..
About the happy of togetherness..
About the sad of farewell..
It feels like yesterday we just shared jokes, laughter and tears..
But now, only a handful of memory, full of meanings..

I will hold this memory forever..
Will not extinct until the end of time..
You're a friend, a great friend!
Your presence makes my life colorful..
We have had some good times..
And we have some tough..
Our friendship is AWESOME!!!

Ramen Sanpachi 38

Do you ever heard about Ramen Sanpachi 38? :)
Few days ago, me and my friend had our lunch there. I never tried ramen sanpachi 38 before, but according to my friend, it's delicious! What is ramen sanpachi 38? Ramen Sanpachi 38 was first invented by Daisei Group. Daisei was born in Jakarta, but he grew up in Japan. In Indonesia, Ramen Sanpachi 38 is owned by PT.Enak Benar. I laughed when I read this company's name on their menu, hahaha.. In english it means "Real Delicious company". I think the company name is unique :D

On their menu book, they said that the noodles are original from Ramen 38. Their soup were made by special receipt and boiled for two days. wow! Can you imagine how delicious it is? :p When you are ordering, you have to pay attention to the marks on every of their menu.

They always put those marks beside the dish's name on their menu.
  • Red circle means there is pork in the dish
  • Yellow circle means there is pork in the dish but you can change the pork with chicken/beef
  • Blue circle means the dish is HALAL (no pork)
  • Chili drawing means the dish is HOT (spicy) - you can choose how spicy you want, they have level 1-20 spicy >_<
So you gotta pay attention to that marks, especially if you are an Islam (moslem).

What is on Ramen Sanpachi 38's menu?

They have appetizer, ala carte, ramen (of course), gohan (japanese steamed rice), desserts and drinks. They have a program called DARE TO BE HOT. If you love spicy food, then I guess you should try their Jigoku Ramen (Ramen from Hell). It's EXTRA SPECIAL HOT! They have 1-20 level of HOT. You may choose the level and if you dare to choose the level between 11-20 and eat it, they will documented it. I don't like spicy food, so I won't give it a try -_-a But maybe you do, I think this is sort of fun! ;) *this is really HOT*

Well, we ordered Gomakara Ramen, Miso Ramen and Niku Yasai Itame (stir fried vegetables with beef). All of them are yummy! :)

Gomakara Ramen (Small) 37.000 IDR

Miso Ramen (Small) 38.000 IDR

Niku Yasai Itame 33.000 IDR

After we finished eating, we get free jelly. They give out free jelly for every customer :)

FREE Jelly

More information about their menu, you may visit their web Ramen Sanpachi.

Pricing

Their price range is up to 60.000 IDR. Reasonable price for their food, but their drinks are a bit expensive X_X

Will I repurchase?

Yes, of course I will. Next time I am going to try their Onigiri (Japanese rice ball) and the Enma Ramen which is their best seller ramen (it has spicy mark, but I will order the level 1 spicy :P )
