No Calories Cake for Lidya

November. Time flies. October passed like a blink of eyes. I still remember when year 2011 people were anxiously talking about the end of the world. Everywhere, everybody kept saying about doomsday. Oh well, now it's less than 60 days to 2013, will doomsday really happen to us in this short 60 days? *why am I talking about doomsday, this post aren't meant for it -_-*

27 October, it was my friend's birthday. To be honest, I didn't know that it was her birthday 'till I saw people posted "happy birthday" to her timeline, she's a new friend of mine :) I've known her for less than a year. But it's weird, I become close to her just like any other best friend. Maybe because we share the same hobby, crochet :p That day, I did think about a birthday present for her. Somehow a birthday cake amigurumi came to my mind. No calories cake, a pretty good idea, isn't it? Oh, I wait no more and rushed to my PC to browse for birthday cake patterns. I didn't find any pattern, but I found a very inspiring website, normalynn :) Normalynn shared some free patterns but sadly I had difficulties when trying to understand her pattern *stupid me* T_T .. Thus, I developed the pattern myself *shy* XD .. It was not perfect, but it's acceptable ;)

So here is my strawberry chocolate cake! I made a small error in the cake if you do realize :p

You can hang it everywhere, on your phone, bag, everywhere you like ♥

And now, last but not least, let me send my little notes for Lidya :) *I meant to write this post on 27 October, but it was delayed until today, so sorry >.<*

Dear Lidya,
Today is the perfect day to tell you that you are a wonderful friend. Happy birthday, my wonderful friend! Wishing you all the best today and throughout the coming year. May your life blossoms as you desired. May beauty and happiness surround you today and beyond. As you celebrate your day, I celebrate the beautiful friendship we share!

Lots of love,
Your friend ♥

Shell Stitch Baby Booties

Recently I’m so addicted with crocheted baby apparels. Sometimes, I need to re-do the work several times even though the pattern is already provided. Regardless what the pattern said, because I’m using a different yarn and hook from the pattern, I need to find the appropriate gauge to match the pattern. And sometimes I also need to adjust the size of the finished product, either to make it bigger or smaller. At first I’m so stuck at how to customize the pattern into the size that I wanted. But as time goes by, as I kept crochet different items, I became familiar with the stitches. Well, practice makes perfect =]

Few days ago, I crocheted an owl hat and I was thinking about crocheting a pair of booties to match the hat (previous post about the owl hat: HERE). Then I surfed around the google to search for some free patterns, and I found a lovely shell stitch baby booties pattern here. Lucky and happy! *wink ^_-*

Taa~Daa~!! Here is my shell stitch booties! I immediately fall in love with it! I got confused with the instep, but managed to do it well =] I’m using local cotton yarn, so the finished booties look a bit different with the pictures in the pattern.

The shell stitches are not very obvious, but the sole is so lovely, it curls! And I just found out that a slip stitch with different color can be so lovely. You can see that there are color changes in the trim of the sole from brown to pink and back to brown. It was done by working one slip stitch from outside into every stitch around the sole. Awesome =]

Shell stitch around, a ribbon wrapping around, the shell cuff, the trim of the sole, oh! I love all of it! ♥

And what’s best is, it match my owl hat nicely! =]

Crochet Owl Hat

I love this owl hat very much! It’s easy to make, quickly done and also very adorable. Don’t you think so? :) I followed this pattern here.

The strap is too long. Well, it’s your preference to make it longer or shorter. I make it longer, because I’m gonna give away this owl hat to my friend’s one month old daughter. I will let him decide which one is better for his beloved daughter, longer or shorter. If he prefer a shorter strap, he can tie a knot in his preferred length and cut if off =]

And this afternoon, I canceled my Fitness First membership. Usually I went to the gym with one of my friends. Well, she canceled her membership due to some reasons and I'm doing the same although we love the yoga classes very much. I gave it a thought for a while, whether I should cancel it or not. And finally I decided to cancel it, in order to save some money. I am in a need to save more money. Oh, why am I talking about money now? It's not that I wanna buy something or else, I just want to save more. Save for the future use =] I have many things that I wanna do in the future, so I really need to start saving as much as I can.

Currently I'm thinking of side jobs. What side jobs can I do? Any ideas? Ehm, actually I'm thinking of selling my handmade, crochet stuff *blush, I'm so shy to say it out*. What do you think? Please give me your thought =]

Scallops Edge Baby Boots

Oh nooooo!!! September almost over! I've been so busy lately that I don't even realize that October is coming soon! 7 days more and it will be October!

These weeks are super busy. I got a very tight audit deadline (yes, I'm an auditor), so I need to finish many works in a very short timeline. Plus, my teammate's wife gave birth last week, thus he had a few days off. So I need to do the extra work. But it's all right, really. I can still catch my breath! :)

And also my boyfriend just moved to a new house somewhere far from where I lived now, because of his work :( I can't meet him everyday like before. I can only see him once a week, kinda miss him now. But he said that I have to endure it and this is for our future. I have to be patient and wait. So I do as he said. It's not long distance relationship, I still can go visit him whenever I have time and he will come to my place whenever he can =]

Oh, this post is actually about a scallops edge baby boots I made for my teammate's newborn baby, Seruni Arbianna Setiawan, lovely name =] When I read a blog post on allaboutami about this baby boots, I totally fell in love with it! Pattern is by imtopsyturvy. This is my first time crocheted a baby wearable. I was so excited! I'm using caron simply soft yarn, SAND 0006 color and a 4,5mm Tulip Etimo Crochet Hook.

There it is! Full of cuteness!

In the pattern provided, there is a slip stitch (sl st) in the end of row and a chain 1 (ch 1) at every beginning of row. But I'm not doing that, I skipped and continued to crochet in round. I started with the sole and when I finished, I highly doubt it. It was very tiny. Yeah, this is my first time, I never imagine that it will be this tiny. lol. I continued with the pattern and after a while, it began to look like a shoe, a very tiny shoe. I started to ask myself, is baby's foot really this tiny? Oh, so cute! Then I continued with the wrap and finished with the scallops edge =]

It's not even the half size of my palm.

After crocheted the left boot, I had the urge to crochet the right one immediately. I just so excited to finish it x_x. And I'm so amazed of myself that I can actually crochet a baby boots. Next, I think I will crochet more baby projects, since my friend has a newborn :p And I was also surprised that this baby boots used a very small amount of yarn, maybe because it's tiny! :)

Instead of a large button, I add a small cute button there =]

I love the scallops edge very much! It's pretty and easy to do!

Can't wait to see lovely Seruni wear this cute boots. Hopefully it can fits her feet nicely =]

Love Isn't Always In the Form of a Flower

Last night, my boyfriend told me a story, a very touching story. It was about a husband and wife. He said that he read this story in one of our friend's facebook wall. The story is really nice and I would like to share it with all of you, thus I looked into my friend's facebook timeline and translate this story into english. I don't know where did this story originally from, she didn't specify who the author is. The story is a bit long, but trust me, it's really a very good story. The title of the story is something like "Love is not always in the form of a flower". Here the story goes:
My husband is an engineer. I love his natural expressions and I love that warm feeling that appeared inside my heart, when I lean on his shoulders. Three years in a relationship, two years of marriage, I admit that I began to feel tired. My reasons to love him before, has turned out into something boring. I am a sentimental women and has a very sensitive feeling.
I craved for romantic moments like a child who craved for a candy. But I never get it all. My husband is far different from what I expected. His sensitivity is very low and his inability to create a romantic atmosphere in our marriage has destroyed all of my expectations for an "ideal love".
One day, I ventured myself to tell him my decision, that I wanted a divorce. "Why?", my husband asked in surprise. "I'm tired, you could never give me the love I want", I replied.  My husband was silent and pensive all evening in front of his computer. It looks like as if he's working on something, but it's not. My disappointment grew more and more. A man who could not even express his feeling, what else could I expect from him?
And finally my husband asked, "What can I do to change your mind?". I looked deep into his eyes and said gently, "I have a question, if you can find the answer in my feeling, I will change my mind. Let's say, I like a beautiful flower in the mountain cliff. We both know that if you climb the mountain, you will die. Question is, are you going to pick that flower for me?" He was pensive, and finally said, "I'll give you the answer tomorrow". I feel depressed when I heard his response. The next morning, he was not home and I found a piece of paper with handwriting beneath a glass of warm milk that says: "Honey, I would not pick the flower for you, but let me explain why."
The first sentence is breaking my heart, but I continue to read: "Your body always aches when your 'best friend' come every month. *the 'best friend' her husband saying is about the menstruation* And I had to give my hand to massage your feet which are aching. You like to be at home and I always worry you will be 'weird', then I have to buy something to entertain you at home or lend my tongue to tell you the funny things I've experienced. You always watch television too close, too close to the book when reading, and it's not good for your eye health. I have to keep my eyes so that when we get older, I can still help you cut your nail and pluck your grey hair."
"My hands will hold your hand, guiding you stroll down the beach, enjoying the morning sun and beautiful sand, telling the beautiful colors of flower are as pretty as your face. But dear, I will not pick the beautiful flower in the mountain cliff just to die. Because, I could not see the tears you cry over my death. Honey, I know there are many people who can love you more that I love you."
"So dear, if all that which has been given, my hands, my feet, my eyes are not enough for you, I could not stop you for finding another hands, feet and eyes that can make you happy."
My tears fell on the letter and blurred the ink, but I still keep on reading. "And now my dear, you have finished reading my answer. If you're satisfied with this answer, and still wants me to stay in this house, please open the door of our house, I am standing there waiting for your answer. If you're not satisfied, dear, let me go in to tidy up my stuff and I will not complicate your life. Trust me, my happiness is when you're happy."
I immediately ran to open the door and saw him standing at the door with a curious face while his hands were holding my favorite milk and bread. Oh, now I know, no one has ever loved me more than he loves me. That is love, when we feel the love has gradually disappeared from our heart because we feel that he can't give the love in the form we want, then love is actually present in another form that we never imagined before. Often we need to understand is to understand the manifestation of love from our spouse and not expect a particular form. Because love is not always in the form of a flower.
 -The End-
How do you feel? It is a nice story to tell, isn't it? Actually when I read/translated this story, I was so touched that I can't help my tears from flowing across my face. There are many ways to love someone and everybody do have a different way. I do agree with the author that we have to understand the manifestation of love from our spouse and not expect a particular form. Love is giving without expecting anything in return, right? Until last night, I used to ask him "why did he like that?", "Does he really love me?, "Am I important in his life?". Some unimportant questions actually. And he always asked me back, that after these years, why am I still doubt about something like that. Well, I don't know. Deep inside my heart, I do realize that he loves me very much. He does, really. Then why I still ask those stupid questions? It's actually not a "doubt", but simply because I love to hear the answer. XoXo. Unfortunately, he's not the type of guy who love to do sweet talks :( If I flashed back, what he has done for me in my daily life for these years, I don't know how to express this feeling. I feel so blessed that he's with me, there are so many things he did for me. He loves me in a different way, in a way that I never imagined before. He will sometimes punch my head, punish me if I wake up late, pinch me, etc. The weird thing is I do feel happy for every evil things he did to me. It's the way he loves me and I know that no one ever loved me like the way he does, that's why I love him so much and I can never let him go ♥

"Holding on and never letting go". It's our promise :)

Two is Better than One

"uuh? Am I alone?"

Hey, seems like you're not alone. Somebody is coming :)

"Don't be afraid, I'm here with you, now and will always be"

"I love you. We will be together forever, right?"

"Yes, forever, my dear ♥"

Whoaa! I see a lot of improvements on myself. hahaha. My ami is more pretty now *wink! ;)* (pattern here). My little chicks didn't turn out exactly like the one in the pattern provided. I guessed everybody's ami will looks slightly different even they used the same pattern. Ami was made with love and care through every single stitch. So, all ami's are unique! =]

And by the way, do you agree with the statement of "two is better than one"? I'd better have someone who accompany me in this big big world rather than being alone. Yeah, an "accompany" may be a friend or sister or family. But what I'm talking here is a life partner, which is your boy/girlfriend who will be your husband/wife in the future. I feel so blessed to have my boyfriend in my life. It's always good to be with someone who love you and you love him too. Since we were together, I'm happier than I used to be, definitely. That's why I'm saying that two is better than one. Of course when two people being together, sometimes will have a small fight (or even a big one). Different opinions, argue, feel hurt, and so on. But all of it makes me grow. I'm not saying that fighting is good. If you keep quarrel everyday, it is also not a healthy relationship. As time goes by, somehow those fights help me understand him better. Recently I also realize that "understanding" has no end. Every new day, there's a new understanding to understand. And every single day I'm trying my best to understand and love him in a better way. It's just sometimes I messed up :( Sometimes I'm selfish and I act without considering of how he might react or what he thinks. And at the end, I deeply regret of my behavior. haha.. However, I will continuously learn how to be a great wife in the future =] Please be patient with me, my love ♥

My First Amigurumi Ever

I can't believe that I can actually did it! Wow, I'm surprised! XD Well, this is the first amigurumi that I made. Although it's not very good, but I'm quite satisfied since this is my first time. Next time, I will do better, I promise! :)

My first sight on the picture pattern was "this is a cute bear". *I got the pattern from an e-book, here* When I looked at it for the second times, why did it look like a puppy? So, that is a bear or a puppy? Unfortunately, mine turned out as a mice! :( .. I kept asking my boyfriend "does it look like a puppy, or a bear?" and he kept laughing at me and said that a mice will forever be a mice, it will never turn into a puppy. He's being so meanie T_T .. I guessed that I did not sew the body parts together neatly, so it turned out to be a mice. But when I think about it now, it's alright. It's cute, anyway =] Here, I'm gonna post some pictures of the "mice" and please tell me that he's cute *crossed fingers*

Look, he's sneaking around my laptop! He's peeping at me >.<

You can see that his eyes are too BIG and his mouth is weird :(
Left and right ears are in different size and shape.
And look at how I sew the ears and legs, it's all a messed.

If you see from this side, it's not that bad. Cute, isn't it? =]

The tail is not even in the center -_-||

He says, "I want to eat that mochi! :3 "hahaha..
There is a small hole in his ear, it should be no hole in magic circle :(

Conclusion is, at first I'm sad about how my first made amigurumi looks like. But now, I think I'm quite satisfied as I believe that practice makes perfect. So, I do not give up and will keep trying. Yosh! (\(^_^)/)

Falling in Love

Yes, I'm falling in love, with my yarn! I love every single color of my yarn =D As you may know, I'm just starting to learn crochet and I'm so addicted. I feel like, ummm.. I have the urge to make these yarn into something. Something adorable, something cute and lovely. My eyes become wild when I see the yarns. They have so many colors, I want to buy all of them! I want it! I want it! Sadly, Idul Fitri (eid al-fitr) is coming soon, everybody has already gone for holidays. The shops are closed and if I buy it online, the shipping also will be delayed :( So I have to wait until the holiday ends *wait patiently*.

BUT, luckily there are some leftover yarns from my knitting project before (P.S: I can knit but I can't crochet. I'm also not an expert in knitting, I only know few techniques). So, at least now I can learn to make a simple and easy amigurumi by using the yarn I have *happy n_n*.

 Lovely, aren't they? =]

When I knit, I easily get bored and I stopped at one point even when my project was not done yet *I have shawl, hat, etc which are halfway done*. But somehow, crochet is interesting. Maybe because what I learn to make is amigurumi, so I got excited of how the doll will look like. Aw! I'm excited! I will share with you once I managed to make an amigurumi. Stay tuned! =]

Magic Circle

Recently, I've been so in love with amigurumi, thus I decided to learn how to make an amigurumi. Amigurumi is stuffed knitted/crocheted toy. It shows me a bunch of cuteness, so I can't resist myself not to love them >.< They are cute, really. If you won't believe me, try searching on google with the keyword "amigurumi". Tell me if you love them too ;)

Most amigurumi were made with crochet technique, means that I need to learn crocheting =] The interesting part is, this is my first time learning crochet. So right now, I'm trying something really new *excited*. Well, at first I kinda confuse, where should I begin? Luckily I have a very good friend, Lidya. I told her that I want to learn to make amigurumi, then she told me that she can make an amigurumi. She showed me a lot of her amigurumi pictures. Wow, I got a teacher! *happy* :D If you're interested in crochet, then please do not doubt. I really encourage any of you to pick up crochet as a new hobby, which is what I am doing now. Somehow, crochet can relax stresses and makes me feel calm, also keeps me in a good mood =]

In the first lesson *wow, sounds like she is opening a class :p*, she taught me how to do a chain (ch), single crochet (sc), double crochet (dc), slip stitch and magic circle. She said that a magic circle is (usually) the beginning of an amigurumi. So I learned. ha ha! It's not easy at the beginning, as a proverb says that every first step is always difficult. However, I manage to learn it, so now I can do the magic circle pretty good *shy* ('_'#). Here, I'm gonna share a tutorial of how to do a magic circle. Please be advised that I'm a beginner, so my work is not very tidy, but I think it's still acceptable. ha ha!

Prepare your yarn and hook

Grab your yarn and wrap it around your fingers and cross it over, so it will look like an "X" (see the first picture). Then you take your hook and insert it underneath the front yarn and pull the working yarn through.

Pull it through and after that you may drop off your fingers. It will form a circle, just like the picture above :) simple!

Hold the circle like the first picture or just hold it in your way, it's up to you as long as you feel comfortable. Then make a chain (ch) by wrapping the working yarn over the hook, pull it through the loop in the hook. And Ta-Da! There is a chain (see the third picture) ;-) Thing to remember is, this first chain does not count as the first stitch. Your first stitch is the first single crochet or double crochet or triple crochet or what your pattern told you.

After you done the first chain, then you may continue with your pattern. Here, I will do single crochet because amigurumi mostly use single crochet ;) Insert your hook through the center of the circle (see the first picture), wrap the yarn over your hook and pull it through underneath the center of the circle. Now you will have 2 loops in your hook (see the third picture). Then yarn over your hook (see the fourth picture) and pull it through all of the 2 loops. There is your first single crochet =]

Now I will do the second single crochet the same way with the first single crochet. Insert the hook through the center of the circle, yarn over and pull it through underneath the circle, then yarn over again and pull it through all loops in the hook. There, I have 2 single crochet (see the fifth picture).

Continue doing the single crochet until it's enough. Result will look like the picture above :)

When you're ready, you may pull the tail (the hanging yarn). The circle will go smaller and you need to pull it 'till no hole in the center (see the second picture). It's important to pull it tightly, I'm sure that you don't want a hole in your amigurumi. It's the magic circle. We're done! Hooray! =D

Continue to crochet and you will get this circle :)

Maybe Some of you found the pictures above are confusing or not clear, so I searched around youtube and found a very good video describing how to do a magic circle. Here it is =]

Whoaaa! Can't believe that I can actually write this tutorial. Although there may be many tutorial posts out there, but I do hope my tutorial have contribution in helping you learning the magic circle ;) Please feel free to share with me your experience in doing the magic circle (both beginner and expert), maybe if there's another way to do this. I would love to hear it! ♥

Tomorrow is the day!

Do you still remember I told you that my boyfriend was going to China for 3 months? I told you in my last post :) You know what, am so happy now. He is coming back tomorrow! Yes, he rescheduled. It's 2 months already, I am wondering what will be his first reaction or expression when he see me later.. Will he give me a very tight hug? I guess he will =]

There are so many things that I want to do with him.. Going to a movie, eat something delicious, take a silly photograph or just sitting side by side, look at each other and smile.. I miss him! Well, sometimes he is being mean to me *yes, he is so mean!* But that's the way he shows his love. I just love the way he is.. I think it's true when people said woman loves bad guy, lol *he is not bad actually* But I really think that it's not fun if your boyfriend is always being nice and sweet to you all time. He has to be a little "evil", so you will love him more! Well, have a safe flight, my dear. Can't wait to see you :)
It's really good, that I've found someone who loves me so much, but what is even better, is that I've found someone who I want to love perfectly. Sincerely me ♥
Now I am listening to a song. A very good song, at least for me. But I do hope you like it too. It's really nice. Star, sung by Kang Min Hyuk, the drummer of CNBLUE. I've embedded the lyrics below, enjoy =]
Let us always be together, Even if time passes.
My heart, will only be given to you, let us be each other’s star.
Star, Kang Min Hyuk

하늘에 빛나던 별이
Star that shines in the sky
저 멀리 빛나던 별이
Star that shines far away from me
내 맘에 내려왔나봐
Seems like you came down to my heart

가슴에 새겨진 별이
Star engraved in my heart
가슴에 빛나던 별이
Star that shines in my heart
아마 너인 것 같아
I think that might be you

떨리는 소리가 들리니
Can you hear a quavering voice? Oh star
뜨거운 심장을 느끼니
Can you feel my passionate heart? You’re my star

아주 오랜 먼 훗날부터
From a very long time ago
나 꿈꿔왔던 사랑이 너인걸 알아
I know that you are the love I’ve been dreaming of
언제나 함께 해줘
Let us always be together
아주 오랜 시간 흘러도
Even if time passes
늘 같은 자리에서 빛나주길
(hope that you) Always shine on the same place
내 맘, 너에게만 줄게
My heart, will only be given to you

떨리는 소리가 들리니
Can you hear a quavering voice? Oh star
뜨거운 심장을 느끼니
Can you feel my passionate heart? you’re my star

아주 오랜 먼 훗날부터
From a long time ago
나 꿈꿔왔던 사랑이 너인걸 알아
I know that you are the love I’ve been dreaming of
언제나 함께 해줘
Let us always be together
아주 오랜 시간 흘러도
Even if time passes
늘 같은 자리에서 빛나주길
(hope that you) Always shine on the same place
내 맘, 너에게만 줄게
My heart, will only be given to you

니 맘 속에 새겨진 별도
The star engraved in your heart
니 맘 속 빛나는 별도 나이길 바래
The star that shines in your heart, I hope that is me
영원히 널 사랑해
Forever I will love you

내 눈 너만 바라볼 거야
My eyes will only look at you oh
너도 나만을 바라봐줄래
oh will you only look at me too
우리 서로의 별이 되주길
Let us be each other’s star

Marsha Farewell @Ketjilkitchen

There was a farewell lunch on April 23, 2012. Whose farewell? Marsha. She has worked at Ernst & Young for about 1 year and 1 month and today she has resigned! Sad, yes, I am sad :( Of all moments, I hate farewell the most. I knew her since college and we've been working together in the same office. I've shared many stories and moments with her. Somehow, she became one of my best friend. Yeah, she's a very friendly person and everybody love her :) So, her last day was on April 27, 2012 but we held a farewell lunch a week before at Ketjil Kitchen =]

Ketjil Kitchen is located at Grand Lucky SCBD Area. The room interior is vintage and decorated with antiques. It feels very classic and chic. I do love the place ♥ At Ketjil Kitchen, there is no waiter or waitress who will offer you a menu book while you're sitting on the table. You'll need to order the food yourself at the cashier and when your food is ready, the waiter will call your name. It's self service :) Though the place is not very big, but it's very comfortable to have a few hours chit and chat :p

It's nice, isn't it? =]

Self service for spoon, fork, knife, salt, pepper, sauce, tissue, etc.

Appetizer: Melted Lava
It taste like lasagna, but it doesn't contain pasta.

Marsha's main course: Chicken Creme Mushroom

My main course: Carbonara Fettucini

Jefika's main course: ehm, I forgot the name of this menu @_@
It contains beef steak and many baby potatoes covered by the lettuce

Deserts: You can see that there's two deserts in the picture, right?
The one on the top is Chocorico. It's pudding with fla. It contains rum, I am not sure if the rum contained in the pudding or the fla. And the below one is Apple Crumble topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. The apple crumble is very tasty. I prefer to eat it while it's still warm. Because I think it taste different (a little weird) when it's not warm (in my opinion, I don't know if you feel the same).

Overall, the food is nice. The price range starts at about Rp 20.000,- to Rp 100.000,- We spent about Rp 300.000,- (The treat was on Marsha, thank you!). If you're gonna have you meal here, I suggest you to try their pasta. Because their pasta is much more tasty than their steak menu. I am gonna try the lasagna next time :) And don't don't forget to follow their twitter @Ketjilkitchen and mention them to get a 10% discount on F&B! Show them your mention before the transaction.

Follow and mention @Ketjilkitchen. You'll get 10% discount on F&B.

And for Marsha, I would like to say thank you for all of this time. You've helped me a lot through my good and bad days. You've been with me in the hardest part of my life in this year. Although I am very very sad that you have to resign, but still I wish you a very successful career ahead and a very blissful life. I hope that we could find some times and catch up for a cup of coffee =]

Farewell is beautiful, a glimpse into the future
Farewell is wonderful, it sets for adventure
Farewell is sad, a dive into the past
Farewell is hard, it memories cast

For old faces must go, yet new places to go
A chapter opened, and a chapter closed
And today, with feelings set at bay
These very words I say

Farewell and goodbye
I say with pleasure and pain
Yes with tears, with grief and joy
Tears of grief and joy

Marry Your Daughter

Last night I surfed around youtube and I found a very cute video. Not only the video, but the song were also very good. The lyrics are cute! When I listen to it, I dropped a tear. The title of the song is Marry Your Daughter, sang by Brian Mcknight. You can find the lyrics below :) *tell me if you like it too!* Since last night, I've been listening to this song hundred times. Marriage, is a very sacral event, is a dream of every women (maybe not all women, but I do dream about it). Wearing a white gown, walking down the aisle and make a vow. Sweet, isn't it? ;) When me and him talked about marriage, I'm always full of joy and very excited. It's an event which happens only once in a lifetime (Maybe there are a second and third for others, but for me, it will be only once in my lifetime). When I listen to this song, I missed him more than ever. I imagined how he tells my mother and father that he is gonna marry me. lol. I laughed at a sudden! It will be a very awkward moment (for him), I think. But it's all sweet, don't you think so? When he come back from China, I'm gonna show him this video and this song. And when we get married, I want this song to be included in our wedding playlist! :)

Marry Your Daughter
Brian Mcknight

Sir, I'm a bit nervous
About being here today
Still not real sure what I'm going to say
So bare with me please
If I take up too much of your time.

See in this box is a ring for your oldest
She's my everything and all that I know is
It would be such a relief if I knew that we were on the same side
Cause very soon I'm hoping that I.

Can marry your daughter
And make her my wife
I want her to be the only girl that I love for the rest of my life
And give her the best of me 'til the day that I die, yeah
I'm gonna marry your princess
And make her my queen
She'll be the most beautiful bride that I've ever seen
I can't wait to smile
When she walks down the aisle
On the arm of her father
On the day that I marry your daughter.

She's been here every step
Since the day that we met
I'm scared to death to think of what would happen if she ever left
So don't you ever worry about me ever treating her bad.

I've got most of my vows done so far
So bring on the better or worse
And 'til death do us part
There's no doubt in my mind
It's time
I'm ready to start
I swear to you with all of my heart.

I'm gonna marry your daughter
And make her my wife
I want her to be the only girl that I love for the rest of my life
And give her the best of me 'til the day that I die, yeah
I'm gonna marry your princess
And make her my queen
She'll be the most beautiful bride that I've ever seen
I can't wait to smile
As she walks down the aisle
On the arm of her father
On the day that I marry your daughter.

The first time I saw her
I swear I knew that I'd say I do.

I'm gonna marry your daughter
And make her my wife
I want her to be the only girl that I love for the rest of my life
And give her the best of me 'till the day that I die
I'm gonna marry your princess
And make her my queen
She'll be the most beautiful bride that I've ever seen
I can't wait to smile
As she walks down the aisle
On the arm of her father
On the day that I marry your daughter.

I miss you!

My boyfriend went to China a few days ago, on 14 March 2012. It has been 4 days. He will be there for 3 months! and yes, I can't see him for 3 months and it's kinda killing me :( Well, for a better future, he said. One of my friend, she is undergo a long-distance relationship and she said that 3 months is a really short time. But for me, 3 months is a long time, it's 90 days! In this several years, we've never been apart for so long.

I kinda miss him now and I wanna tell about how we celebrate our valentine month ago :)

14 February 2012, it's a very special day for every couple. But for us, actually everyday is valentine! *love* But of course, we do celebrate this day like the other couples. He was craving for Fish & Co, so that we had our valentine dinner there.

See, he was so happy holding the big menu book!

After flipping through the menu book several times, we decided to order the valentine package. They (Fish & Co.) were having a valen-DINE promo.

1 appetizer + 1 main course + 1 of your favorite fish and chip + 2 beverage + FREE couple photo with frame for only Rp 199.000 !!

And you know what, he said that he want an extra fish and chips! So, he ordered an extra Singapore fish and chips -_-!! Here, we ended up with 3 main course (fish and chips from the package, the main course from the package and an extra fish and chips he ordered). Several minutes later, we got our drinks (beverage) and the appetizer.

Guava juice & Kola Tonic
It should be Pink Passion and Kola Tonic. But the pink passion is out of stock, so I changed it with Guava juice.

You & Me
Crispy fried corn tortillas covered in melted mozzarella cheese, baked to golden brown. Served with sprinkle of tomato salsa and jalapeno peppers.

Danish Fish and Chips (this is his favorite ^^)
Fish and chips with stringy mozzarella and spice in that lightly battered fish and topped with lemon butter sauce.

Stick With You
Deep fried boneless chicken breast filled with melted mozzarella cheese and smoked beef, served with spaghetti in chili cream and fresh garden salad.

Singapore Fish and Chips (this is the extra fish and chips he ordered -_-)
Fish and chips topped with homemade chili crab sauce.
It looks the same with Danish fish and chips, but it tastes different!

So many food! And yes, we were very full, but we managed to finish all of it. Incredible, right? :p Among all these menus, I love "stick with you" the most. The chicken breast and the mozzarella is damned yummy! He prefer Singapore fish and chips. Overall, we were satisfied with our valentine dinner at Fish & Co.

When we were to pay our bill, the waiter took a photo of us. We wait for about 15 minutes for the photo to be printed out and framed. And we also got a rose and a pack of candy from Fish & Co.

Sweet! *love* A big thanks for Fish & Co.

We spent about two hours (19.00 - 21.00) for the dinner. We ate, we chat, we talked about silly things, it's all great! Being loved by the person you love is really wonderful. Feel like I did not want to end the moments. Wish I could stop the time. But time flies, a handful of memories are left.

We are gonna shaped our future together. We work so hard, so that we can live a better life. We plan and we figure out how to make our dreams come true. And most of all, we love each other! :) Finish your work quickly, dear. So that you can come home faster. I miss you!
